By the way, Donnie and Surfeur which program do you use for making the sceenshots? I'm dealing with the thought also making some screen caps by myself. (Of course, I would share them) I use PowerDVD | | | Images from movies |

Is 3 enough or do you want 8 ?
cheers Donnie I think that more images allows to choose, even if everybody do not use all of them. That's why 8-10 seems a good number. | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | Good day, Sirs,
I am new in galleries and can't find out how this works.
How do you sync the List of Movies with your collection, and batch download those images?
Or do you have to pick each of the 10.000 files manuallly?

You can download all the images in one operation with a free website copier as HTTrack. Then you have to do the linking with your movies manually. You have to open the folder for each movie using the folder icon in the gallery window, then copy all corresponding files in it. May need one minute per movie, so it needs some time for a whole collection. | | | Images from movies |

You can download all the images in one operation with a free website copier as HTTrack. HTTrack is downloading now since over five hours, and already wrote 19.000 files. What else do you have on this site? I hope nothing illegal or morally reprehensible. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

Wow, you both are so fast, I spend so much time with downloading, so i can't make screen caps by myself. Many thanks again. |

Whereby the use of the 10.000 thumbnails is not yet apparent to me. How do you organize updates? Whereby the use of the 10.000 thumbnails is not yet apparent to me. They are useful only to show a link to images on the site. Once you have downloaded all the images, the thumbnails have no use for you. Quote: How do you organize updates? (new entries in the List of Movies, new entries in the Collection, replaced images) Current updates are only to add new movies and corresponding images. The origin might be a new movie in my collection, or images I received from other users, for movies I do not own myself. I had no occasion yet to replace images. Since DarklyNoon only send three images per movie, if some day I get one of his movies in my collection, I will complete to ten images. | | | Images from movies | | | Last edited: by surfeur51 |

| Posted: | | | | surfeur51, excellent pictures. You are doing a great service to the community. Our tastes in movies varies greatly, as with anybody. I'm a huge horror fan, but your interest in science fiction fills in my collection nicely. Less than 10 pix per movie isn't effective enough. I see the recent Star Trek 2009 only has 3 pix, so probably needs more. Each major character needs to be shown. You have a vast collection of stills. There's still a lot of captures I need to do to fill in my obscure assortment. Thanks again. |

I agree that 10 is a good number of images per movie. But I have not all movies in my own collection, and for some I use images sent by other users. I cannot put more than what I receive. | | | Images from movies |
