| Posted: | | | | $12.99 seems like a great price; considering what I know and have seen so far. Looking forward to meet some of you on the island for some air time. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | The latest Crast TV podcast confirms the $12.99 price, 9 new cars (they show the Dust Storm, the Dust Storm you get for completing the burning route, the Hunter Olympus Governor with stunt boost! and the Carson Annihilator Street Rod), they show the new Island Tour which looks decent, talk about the new license and other stuff.
They also confirmed the price on their website too. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | When I drove home from work I was looking forward to this. I smiled when during the startup of Burnout the message showed up, that update 1.90 was available; the 413MB had me slightly concerned though. And rightly so. It took me 6 hours to download the file; the Hong Kong(?) server loves to drop the collection to me and made lots of use of that today And then as to add insult to injury: The Hong Kong store seems to be the only one where the Island is not yet available It's Thursday here first and I am still last to drive to the island Positive side effect: I cleaned up some files on my computer... ...and at least I can play with it right away when coming home tomorrow, as the island is already patched into my game and I only need the 100kb unlock/file. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | I've been hearing of long loading times to get 1.90 here as well. I might just give it a day or two and then try. I'll probably be far too busy tonight anyway to mess with it. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | It seems I won't be visiting Bog Surf Island at all this weekend as the Hong Kong store apparently doesn't get the add-on this week. I now seem to baguely remember that even criterion mentioned that June 11 was everyone but Asia (although, Japan gets it). I hope it is a misprint/ommision on the side of the linked report... | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

Problem is that this stuff cannot be downloaded in the background (which would pick up where stopped) and doesn't keep the downloaded part of the file in the cache so I must always start from 0% again. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. When I came home today I was very to find that they indeed only omitted the update in their online listing. Finished dinner and will be heading to the island now | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | I got the update last night with no problem. But didn't get a chance to pick up the Island (wife wanted to watch Smallville). I'm hoping I'll have an opportunity tonight, but for the past couple months we've been doing movie nights with friends every Friday. So it may have to wait until tomorrow. Or I'll just be up really, really late. It is the weekend after all. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | The island is heaps of fun! It really is airport/quarry and what ever else we love condensed in one smaller area. Jumps, jumps and more jumps, some of them insanely high. You'll love it.
The one, unfortunately rather big, complaint I have: not enough online challenges. 10...? Just 10...? Big fail in this department. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | After roughly 4 hours, I got 100% on my license and 500/500 challenges done! It's a ton of fun. I just hope I can find more time to play soon. And interesting note, I was comparing progress against my friends on the Criterion website and I've spent 11 seconds more time on the Island than Achim. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. | Posted: | | | | 11seconds...? Goota drive more.... Anyway, I was online for a while yesterday and noticed quite a few people without the island, therefore ended up driving back to the city. Do you also find the events ever so slightly harder? I tried Road Rage yesterday and it was real tough. Of course, neither me not having played in a while nor the winding roads on the islands help, but I still thought it was harder than before. (The latter problem was improved upon by driving over the bridge and then using the longer straighter roads of the city...) | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | Funny you mention that. I actually did have a much harder time with the Road Rage events. But I've always hated those and haven't played in a while. I was also using the Island cars to do it. I think I finally ended up switching to the Calvary (1st car) to do them just to get them done.
I also had a problem with Stunt Runs. But I think that had more to do with being unfamiliar with the Island. In the other part of the city, I already have some routes worked out and just always headed there. So I was in unfamiliar territory.
I also had to do a few of the races multiple times. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | I actually breezed through everything except the stunt runs. I did the first oen after about 6 tries, but these last two have me over a barrel.
What is the best car to use, one that is easy to control. I tried one that would spin out everytime I hit gas. | | | Signature banned: Reason out of date... |
