(1) Is there a relationship between the Common Name Thread and the Headshots DB?
(2) How do I make sure I have a database with all of the available headshots? I tried using headshots with profiles, but I got only 1 hidden profile. So I had to create a dummy profile, just to be able to see the Cast / Crew. Then a lot of my favorite people I would expected, were not in there. What am I doing wrong:
- first I created a clean database
- utilities delete unused images
- then I ran a repair, deleting unused cast and crew
- restored the headshots with profiles

- then I ran a repair, deleting unused cast and crew But a general remark: Cleaning a data base and selecting the option Remove unused... cast and crew is a dangerous option, except you select the Preserve cast/crew with imagesQuote:
- restored the headshots with profiles When restoring the full v11 with Profiles (1,2GB) then you should get a dialog, which profiles you want to restore:  Be sure not to overwrite the existing database: restore profiles, covers, cast and crew only! But then the result should be something like:  Quote:
- restored the V11.1 file I just found that the v11.1 with profiles is faulty. I replaced the both files. ... and, when restoring the profiles out of my subsequent updates, DVD Profiler feels urged to create some rather weird custom collections (I assume, this is done because I manage my headshots in a custom collection called Test; keep the correct Test collection for further restores and delete all empty collections, then it'll works in future)... EDIT: The "with Profiles Version" of the v11 was not released at all. | | Posted: | | | | I do this stuff all the time of course, but this is not working for me. I must be downloading the wrong file. Nothing that I am trying is 1.2GB with a recent date. You have links in the first post and also in your signature, and several other places, that do not work for me.

And I tried a few of my favorites, and they are available in nice full color. I'll figure out whatever mistake some other day. I have the test database I need now. | | | Thanks for your support.

Headshots OnlyThis files includes headshots, which imho are better than the ones included in v11. Why? - better cropping (head only, but the whole head including most of the hair) - better contrast (mostly less technical contrast which allows to recognize detail of the face) - less makeup or role specific applications - as naked as possible (no shades, no beards, no hats, etc.; but glasses if needed) - shorter hair, to see the ears and the hairline - correct birth years (dummies for headshots not availlable, BY overlayed where no other BY needed in the same section - cast/crew) - correct common names (common name overlayed where common name thread is conclusive) Amongst many well documented BYs there are fake BYs are included. For all who are interested in the history of my headshots or the included fake BYs, the above file with the profile included: Headshots and Profile (includes the source documentation - WARNING: if you restore this file with default options, your data base will be deleted!)
