Scot without going into a lot of detail, I am starting or restarting from a point lower than 99% of my friends. My film library is still in storage 1000 miles away. Its been ugly but I hope the ugliness is slowly coming to an end. Imagine, if you can. 62 years old, and trying to survive on less than$1000 per month for the last two years. But at least I have a job and I started collecting my social security, not much bit it does help. Rough calculation im guessing that's about £600! That is what rent on my flat costs a month alone A recommendation though that eating porridge and freezing bread is a good way to save money Also Scots have many problems with Iphones | | | Last edited: by ShinyDiscGuy |

But at least I have a job and I started collecting my social security, not much bit it does help. That's about what I make in a good month. And have for the last 7 years. It ain't easy being poor. This is also the best paying job I have ever had. I recommend an old mobile home. I'm in a catch-22. I have two perfectly good masters degrees. But I'm 37, I've worked in shiitake mushroomty retail jobs my whole life, and there are about zero jobs (in my field) in this area. I can't afford to relocate, and whenever a rare job in my degree field comes open, even when I apply, nothing ever comes of it. Likely because I have the degree and no experience. But to get the experience I have to get hired ... | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield | | | Last edited: by Danae Cassandra |

Oops, too late.
I'm a musician and an artist. Musicians get paid (very little) and get no withholding for taxes, no health insurance, no unemployment insurance, no disability insurance, no Social Security, and no pension. Most of our pay (unless we are of the 1% of musicians who make more than poverty-level wages) goes toward our equipment and travel and motels and restaurant food. So we make almost enough to support ourselves and offer nothing to our household income.
I've been a graphic designer, artist, writer, editor... all freelance. See musician for benefits and pay. I've had a few jobs with benefits and various witholding for taxes and required insurance, but at best, less than $30,000 a year, more often less than $12,000 a year... so less than you've been making. I've owned businesses, and in every case, my employees made many times what I did.
I've been unemployed since April 2010, and the unemployment payments were less than $400 a month, and I stopped getting those by August of 2012.
And I've never spelled as badly and used as atrocious grammar as you Skip. My sympathies lie with your poor readers, not with you.
You have no ability to accept any criticism. The moment your faults are pointed out, you behave like a tantrum-filled infant, and your ability to communicate effectively disappears. Read your own posts in this thread. When you are happy announcing your return, they are slightly imperfect, but enjoyable. When you are pricked, it is rare to fine a single correctly spelled word, the sentence structure is moronic, and the punctuation and capitalization is absolutely random. It is not your keypad/keyboard, it is your attitude. When you are sweet, you behave like a semi-literate human. When you are angry, you behave like an ill-mannered (name any non-domesticated animal).
You have zero control. It's not us, it is you. We have arguments, disagreements, call each other names. We get angry and argue back. Then we calm ourselves and go on with our admiration for each other. You never back down... you troll us until we leave, and then claim victory. You are not half as smart as you think you are, and have no social skills at all. You are the perfect internet troll/tough guy.
I suppose every forum has at least one. But when you leave, this is a pleasant place. The trolling is mild, and when we point out the trolling, the trolls are smart enough to back off quickly. I hope you learn that skill.
Good to see you are doing well enough to be back. But if your collection is 1000 miles away, why bother? | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Widre, huh?! I noted this several years ago. Skip's typing seems to be rushed even more than usual. He always did have a few typos. I think he probably is not using his own computer. I think you children have had your play time, and I agree that this string should be locked. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. Ineptocracy, You got to love it. | Posted: | | | | C'mon guys. No locking. That's a cop out. Just be civil. If you rely on the "lock out" crutch, you will just be waiting for another opportunity to pick a fight. Just play nice and there will be no need to lock. Have some respect for Invelos and the moderators, if not for each other. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here.
