| Posted: | | | | I'm in for a native OS X Version (running unter 10.9). I would even pay again for it after more than 10 years of using DVD Profiler für Windows.
It's almost the only software (except some tools for profiling, which I do not do every time I use the Profiler) I have to run under Parallels. |

It's almost the only software (except some tools for profiling, which I do not do every time I use the Profiler) I have to run under Parallels. I don't recall thinking about it before, but maybe you can answer this: do DVDP plugins work in that environment? I hope you do get your wish for Mac DVDP, but I wonder how many people would care about plugins, how hard it would be to convert them, etc. Just wondering ... | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

Parallels is a virtual environment for Windows, so you are in fact running Windows inside OS X. Therefore DVDP is installed inside a regular (more or less) Windows and all plugins can work normally (well, of course .NET or other stuff may still be required). It's been a while that I tested it, but I believe you may be thinking of Wine or Crossover, which is only an emulator for Windows (so no license is required here). In this case it's trickier, as stuff like .NET or others may not be readily available, making plugins more difficult (impossible...?) to run. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | So Ken... how about it?
I am actually looking into purchasing an iMac. I am getting sick and tired of Microsoft, after years being pro-Microsoft... Yesterday my Windows machine crashed for the so manyth time. Very happy that I make back ups of DVDP!
Using iOS version on the iPad and iPhone and still the Windows version, but I too would love to see abd gladly pay for a Mac Version. | | | Jean-Paul |

| Posted: | | | | I too would love to see a Mac version. But before that, I'd rather see the program gain the ability to properly profile more than 1 movie on the same side of a disc. I'd gladly give up a Mac version to have that problem fixed. Of course even better would be a Mac version that has that fix. Until then, Parallels is working just fine for me. I need it for Quicken anyway, so it's not like Profiler is the only thing holding me back. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. | Posted: | | | | I would pay too.
Although I'd love to see the iOS version fixed first, so that it records the time for watched events, like the desktop app, not just the date. Been waiting for this at least 18 months now...
By the way, other than Parallels or VMWare Fusion, which I have both used in the past, I find now that the FREE VituralBox VM works great too. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |
