Thanks Quoting Mark Harrison: Quote: I think you should do more testing. I've never seen this before and there's no reason it wouldn't export a profile that doesn't have discs associated with them. It's possible there's a bug I'm not aware of but I've never seen it before. If you can find a reliable way to re-create the problem, I'd be happy to look into it. But I export all the time and I'm sure I would have noticed it before now. Although I typically only export about 6-7 fields, none of which have anything to do with disc IDs. If you don't have any joy, I'll check over the next few days - slow times here too. Very preliminary though - no disc, no export; disc, export. Thank you |

But it seems that you output here the UPC. Yes, Profile ID is UPC. And there's no locality listed there (I'm using GetProfileIDFormatted instead if GetProfileID which does return the locality). I guess the real question is does anyone want the locality? So far I've not seen any requests for it, so I've not bothered with it. Quoting Cessquill: Quote: Is there any chance of getting the Notes field in here please? I have a version now that exports notes. It's not available yet, but I should find time in the next few days to get it out there (I don't have access here at work and will be quite busy over the next few days with Christmas stuff). But I was completely unable to replicate the issue with the disc IDs. Exactly what fields are you exporting? I tried it with all fields, but it worked just fine for me. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Since you now started adding other fields to the export (IIRC the first version included the items that were also exported by 2.4), is there any chance to get the Watched Events exported? | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Profile ID Title Sort Title Overview Description Description Side A Desscription Side B Production Year Running Time Running Time Formatted Aspect Ratio Director 1 Director 2 Genre 1 Genre 2 Genre 3 Location Slot ...in that order. Only exporting Owned titles, with Multiple Rows. EDIT : I was using v3.0.3 of DVDP, so I'm upgrading that, and I'll check back. | | | Last edited: by Cessquill |

Sorry about this - went down with the flu over Christmas. When I was back on my feet I forgot all about it until I got back to work today. Will look later if it's still pressing. |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Cessquill: Quote: Also, whilst playing around I noticed that it's not exporting titles that do not have discs associated with them. I didn't exhaustively test this, but I noticed that The Blues Brothers/Blues Brothers 2000 double-pack (and the Hot Shots/Hot Shots Part Deux) double pack(s) were not exporting. Double clicked on the titles in DVDP, selected the Discs tab and added a disc for each feature. Re-exported and they were there. You'll be happy to know that in adding Achim's request, I accidentally found this bug and squashed it. I'd give you each a green vote for pointing out the bug and making me dig deep enough into it to find the bug, but your posts are too old. But thanks to both of you for the suggestions. In addition to a few other bug fixes, I've also added Notes, Last Watched - Date, Last Watched - User, All Watched - Dates, All Watched - Users and Times Watched. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. | Posted: | | | | Mark,
I've got a problem installing the plug in. I'm running 3.1.1 (I've been using the DVD Profiler product for a while) and I run the setup, there seem to be no errors - but no new option in the Tools.
I had an earlier version of DVD Profiler installed before my system crashed and I rebuilt (and that one had the 1.2 CSV plug in installed without any problem). When the DOS window opens during the setup routine, a message flashes by quickly - but I can't capture it. Any logs or way to pipe the setup output messages to a text file? Any ideas, things to check?
Thanks!

| Posted: | | | | I'd say try uninstalling the plug-in and reinstalling. If that doesn't help, let me know. One of the people testing my other plug-in had the same problem when I monkeyed with the install code on that one too. The good news is once he got past that initial problem, it never returned. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | I thought I'd try something, so I backed up my db, uninstalled the plugin and uninstalled DVD Profiler 3.1.1 and reinstalled. Still no soap. |

| Posted: | | | | This is such a fantastic addition to DVDProfiler which I use all the time. Thank you very much for making this. I use the csv exported using this plugin to import into a db which creates a whole series of small web pages listing all my DVD, alphabetically, new, wishlist, box sets, hd, ordered, etc. The pages are small enough that I can open them on my cell phone via wireless internet when I'm out shopping and can't remember what I have. Here's a link to the page in case you are interested in how you addon gets used: http://members.shaw.ca/canaduck/mystuff/barrydvds.htmI love the newest features like last watched and watched by; I think I'll those in somehow as well. Maybe a 20 newest movies I haven't seen yet or something like that. Has there been any discussion on whether it would be possible to include Tags in the export? I use tags for setting TV, Box Set, Misc, etc, which would be handy for creating these pages. Right now, I put things like 'TV' or 'Box Set' somewhere in the Edition field and have the database pick it up from there, but having it use tags would be very handy. | | | Last edited: by ScaryBear |

I've avoided tags because it seemed like it could get messy. And no one ever wanted them before. I have profiles that have multiple tags assigned. What do you do with those? And do you list the full path of the tag like HD/Blu-Ray or just list Blu-ray? The easiest way to do it would be to just list the deepest tag and stuff multiple tags into a single field separated by commas. Would that work? So if I had something like Planet Earth tagged as Documentaries/Nature and TV/Other for example, I'm thinking the easiest way to go would be a single field that would list Nature, Other. But that's not very descriptive. So maybe it would be better to list the full tag and separate them like "Documentaries/Nature, TV/Other". Thoughts? | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |
