It all seems to work, but no covers. Did I miss a work around for this?
Welcome aboard! One simple question: is the check box for syn covers checked? Even on first run, it's a sync. After that, I'm not sure. Is the target folder structure correct? Are there DVD covers in the folder? If no covers, it's a transfer problem. If they are there, a program (??) problem. Workaround: Set up the plugin to copy all DVD cover thumbs to a separate folder (this way you don't kill DVD Profiler. Use Windows explorer to copy the DVD thumbs to the correct folder on the tablet. It takes some time, however, it does work. Quote:
Ona side note, as a registered user for MANY years, all I have to say is: Really? Come on Invelos, It's been at least 5 years and no official Android version? You are leaving a huge gap for other programs like My Movies to take your share of the Android OS money to be had for this. The only reason I'm sticking it out is because I really don't feel like inputting my entire library again.
No argument. Same thoughts here. Hopefully someone with tablet experience can give more insight. |

| Posted: | | | | I find in the apk installed in the Tablets root directory under sdcard\droid_dvp I can not access this path via the usb connection. I get internal storage, and SD card (my 32GB Micro SD). The check box is marked for covers, but it is greyed out and I can't toggle it when backing up the DB. I don't know if the target structure is correct....lol With a program called Fx, I can view the root directory and I can see the following path: /sdcard/droid_dvdp I have a folder that says cache (empty) database (with the .db file I exported & a .db-journal file) images/thumbnails (empty) and a file that says droid_dvdp_is_here. I'm copying the thumbnails from my PC and will install them into this folder. I assume I need to put the thumbnails into the thumbnails folder and the other images in the folder images, just like it is in my PC...right |

| Posted: | | | | 2 Options.
1) if you have an external SD card, put that in your PC and point Droid_DVDP to that drive you will need to copy the droid_dvdp_is_here file to the folder structure you will be making. It need to look just like the one on your internal drive storage.
/sdcard/droid_dvdp /sdcard/droid_dvdp/database /sdcard/droid_dvdp/images /sdcard/droid_dvdp/cache /sdcard/droid_dvdp/images/thumbnails/
Once the exporter is done, just put the sd card in the tablet and copy the files over or if you are creative ( and maybe have root ) create a simlink from the /sdcard/droid_dvdp -> removable/MicroSD/droid_dvdp ( you will have to make the path match your system but this is how my external SD card appears in ES File Explorer
option 2 ) Do the same thing but to your HD on your PC then copy the files over with the tablet connected as a media device.
When my Asus Transformer connected to the PC I get the choice of Internal Storage or SD Card, when I click on internal storage I get full access to everything that would appear in /sdcard/ ( as internal storage )

This looks a lot easier than what I was doing! (transfering all pictures via USB to the internal storage, then from their to the root of the tablet. Do that for about 3000 files......took about 40 minutes each time i tried something. I do not have root, but the file transfer with the MicroSD card in my PC should be 5x faster! Quote:

-Robert My Asus TF300T doesn't give me the choice when I connect to my PC. It just shows up as a drive with two sub drives, none of which are the root. I will try to repoint to the SD card, this will be MUCH easier. ALSO.....The program works OK with thumbnails, but crashes if I use the full size images. Also both thumbnails and full size images do not display properly in the cover mode. They overlap. |

| Posted: | | | | How do I redirect the program to my MicroSD card? The default path on my Tablet is: /storage/sdcard0/droid_dvd_p/ Also (and this is getting confusing) I'm seeing multiple entries on my tablets internal storage, I seem to have the droid_dvd_p folder in at least 2 places. | | | Last edited: by broderp |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry to post twice in a row. I just wanted to say this works great on the Samsung Galaxy S (Verizon) even with the bigger images. I would like to add that the only issue I see is that there needs to be a way to consolidate box sets. I have, as an example, the entire Battlestar Galactica series on DVD. The program shows every single disc. I don't need this level of expandabilty in a mobil app. (it would be nice to toggle it) I hope this gets developed further to allow reliable syncing from the PC program. I would be happy to donate to the cause once this is corrected. Now if we could get this to work on a tablet......wow... |

Now if we could get this to work on a tablet......wow... Hi! There is a workaround I use. Go to page 19 of this thread. An exchange between Shona and myself. As I state there, It's labor intensive only at the start, then it works flawlessly. There are other methods discussed throughout this thread. I used the Search, this forum, Any Date and boxed set. Good hunting! |

I assign them only to movies and tv-series-parents, so I simply filter on "Collection-Number > 0" and flag those titles. Those sub folders should be your internal and removable memory.
in my case mine shows Internal and SD card ( Internal in this case would the /sdcard/ and SDCard would be /Removable/ )

| Posted: | | | | ok, its showing as a media device?
Just click on it and it should behave kind of like a USB drive.
Then follow the instructions I posted a few days ago.

| Posted: | | | | I'm not sure if this is an android issue or something else.
I have the latest versions of the exporter for the PC and apk for the phone. When I load the app, the movie list is blank. I have Droid DVDP at the top and nothing else. However, when I go into settings, then select collection stats, it lists the collection count, actors and actors in titles.
I've tried both list and cover view and I still get a blank screen. I've tried filtering and searching and I don't get anything listed. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, cleared data and I still have a blank screen.
I am running a Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.2.1 (CM10.1). Anyone having any success with 4.2 and the app? I am pretty sure the app worked on 4.1 but I can't be certain when it stopped working for me. I have the same problems with my Nexus 7 running 4.2 so it could either be 4.2 or something with my export. On the PC side, I am running DVD Profiler 3.8.2 build 1542 on Win8 x64.
Thanks. | | | Last edited: by Alershka |

| Posted: | | | | I would check your paths that your DB files and thumbs are on the internal memory vs sd card if you have one.
try an un install, and re install the app then re transfer the DB and thumbs
