Are they for free? I already have Windows Update, Windows Firewall and Windows Defender.

Windows update - designed to update windows files
windows firewall - designed to block some accesses from outside your Pc
Windows defender - designed to block spyware

none of these is a Antivirus program.

There are a number of free antivirus programs. The most well known is Avg Free you could try that one.
.

Personally I like AVAST free out of the free offerings but if you really don't have any protection I am surprised that you weren't offered Microsoft Security Essentials from Windows update as it does that if no anti-virus is detected. By all accounts its relatively competent and non-intrusive and as it is an MS product will update with windows so that may be a better fit in this case you can get it from Microsoft here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/pc-security/mse.aspx

I'm disappointed - MSE did not detect threats on my PC. I'll uninstall it again.

Is it possible you have NO threats?

This discussion about bbbbb's Anti-Virus threats (or no threats) is OT but getting somewhat funny though!

Is it possible you have NO threats?

Very unlikely, because I never use antivirus software. On the other hand: I usually ignore FUNNY_PICTURE.JPG.exe files and "Zweite Abmahnung Ihrer Bestellung vom 06.08.2012" kind of mails with .zip-attachment.

A MSE "full" scan takes much longer, I'll report the result.

Have you seen a vet for this problem?

Not helpful I know, just couldn't resist.

After 2 hours and 1.3 million files... MSE found two .zip archives with the same Win32/Hybris.C@mm worm.

The worm is from 2006, the two .zip archives were MS-DOS games in a backup folder for nostalgic reasons, with a lot of other stuff. The worm is not active and I doubt it ever was.

Still stuck with my export setup.exe and Norton software. I tried to rename the file, send it from another device : still removed by Norton "by precaution".
May I ask when will the next release be available?

From what I saw posted here, and personal experience, there is no infection. Norton is reporting a false positive. Send the files to Norton to be verified).
The most current files are on page one and are AV free, by my scans, and those of others.
You could "white list" the program inside of Norton's settings.

When is the next release? Whenever Oliver has time to put it together!

I did override the Norton recommandation, so now I am doomed ;=).
Export successful to my Samsung Galaxy II, with a cable between the Samsung and the PC.
The new app works fine on the smartphone. I guess that we'll get the small movie images in a next version ?.
Thank you for the hard work. Perhaps the author should setup a (small!) Paypal donation suggestion?
Best, Unclemib

For whatever reason, that's what many of us are doing.

I'm not sure I understand the question. You should have thumbnails, and cover art in the program. If not there is a glitch somewhere.
You need to be sure Synchronize Covers is checked in the export plugin.
If this was checked when you exported, check the SD card to see if any thumbnails are on the card.
Welcome to beta testing!

We'll be able to figure it out along the way.

Hello All,

Maybe someone can help me out here.  I've been using droid_dvdp for awhile now and haven't had any issues but on my last export I noticed that I'm missing several profiles. I've tried exporting several times to see if there was just a hiccup but the same profiles are not showing up.  Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jason

Hello all,

The alpha test is done, and I'm launching the application in public beta now. I call it still beta, because there may be problems with the plugin install and incompatibilites on the android devices.

Please note that I'm doing this in my free time, so I'll react as soon as I can.

Also, please don't use cracked version of Invelos' DVD Profiler. Buy it and register it. We all need Invelos to stay alive and running the database.

Instructions :
  • For the first use, install android application on your device and run it once. It will create directories that the plugin will try to locate to know where to copy files. It should show you an empty collection.

  • Install the export plugin on the PC, and run it.

  • Some android devices do not allow you to connect it via active sync nor USB storage. In this case, you'll have to manually copy files from PC to device (don't buy devices using poprietary connections )

  • Always use the last plugin with the last android application, and export your collection after having both installed : the application may need the new database structure generated by the last export plugin version

  • Dowload : (sorry, no more version in file names to make update easyer)
    Export Plugin :
    File Factory
    DropBox
    Adroid Application :
    FileFactory
    DropBox

    Change Log :

  • New version Sept. 3rd 2012

  • 1.changed time limit to 2013/09/01
    2.Some layout changes

  • Beta 0.7  may 30th 2012

  • 1.Fixed : layout size in landscape (on some devices)
2.Filter on genres. Should work as in the PC version.

  • Older version ....
