| Posted: | | | | You are connecting to an incorrect IP. Correct would be 75-125-61-130 Quoting Ken Cole: Quote: you can bypass the problem immediately by adding the following line to your hosts file:
75.125.61.130 www.invelos.com
The hosts file is in your Windows directory under system32\drivers\etc\, and is named simply "hosts". It is a text file that can be edited in notepad. This should do the trick. This extra line can be deleted in about three days. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | If one profile was able to successfully download, you're connecting fine.
Try "Refresh All" with just the one profile in question. |

...What to do next? In your case a database repair should do the trick. Go to DVDProfiler menu "Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Database Repair ..." | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

No Luck (My PC just emailed me "...Do it to me one more time and I'll go on strike..." ) Funny when I go to ADD DVD->Upcoming Releases & I Choose Region 1 [week 9/13/09] scroll down to Title: Nightwatching -> Preview works fine Title: Nightwatching: 2-Disc Special Edition-> Unable to download file So it goes on & on hit one, miss two...Region 2 movies seems to be more problematic. What else can I try? | | | Last edited: by mlr |

Seems to be time for some major educational action: Threaten it with screwdriver and setup-CD Seriously: Try to perform the database repair from the start menu of Windows: "Start -> Programs -> DVD Profiler -> Database Repair ..." Please come up again and report if your computer allowed this and whether it worked. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | I still cannot download images or profiles. I have added the new ip address and it still uses the old ip address. I have repaired the database, and still nothing. There is not a firewall problem. Should I uninstall and reinstall the program? |

Usually the settings in the Hosts file force the applications to connect to the named IP. If your computer doesn't do so, this leaves two options: 1. You did something wrong (please reopen the Hosts file and check whether the last entry is "75.125.61.130 www.invelos.com" without inverted commas, but with the space between 130 and www) 2. Your router has a DNS-cache and is rerouting the IP-requests of your computer. Please open the configuration tool of your router and delete the DNS-cache. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | I am feeling like I'm crazy. I have now uninstalled and reinstalled the program, removed my router/firewall, and have done everything else as instructed. It still goes to the old IP address. What am I missing? |
