| Posted: | | | | Do post here how u like the new cars! I'm still working on getting my elite license (19 wins to go) and have won 66 of the original cars in my junkyard. Haven't even started on any of the bike events yet! Hey Achim: I did see you online on the PS3 a couple of days ago but I think you went offline shortly. What timezone are you in and when are you usually online? also, is there any way to msg from within the game OR do we have to go out to the gameOS to do that? | | | |

Then hit the PS button again to the return to the game. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

I thought I heard the main game is now $19.99 on the PS3 store. If true, then my guess is the island with be about $15. Wouldn't seem right paying the same amount as the game itself. But I won't be surprised if it's $20. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

The dude that owns the site made a script that captures the info from Sony's US server. Fancy. -Shark2k |

I don't know his time zone, but he's in Taiwan if that helps. IIRC Taiwan is GMT+8. That is (currently, as we won't swicth to daylight savings) 7 hours to central Europe, 13 hours to New York and 17 hours ahead of San Francisco. My gaming time is usually somewhere around 9pm to midnight, weekends may be longer if fun ensues. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

The cars are (obviously?) in the 1.7 update that was released yesterday, so purchasing them on requires an additional 100kB to be downloaded. I was in a good mood, so I bought all four. While I still think they are actually overpriced, they are admittedly fun to drive. Hovering with the P12 88 Special is as cool as you may imagine. Doing a barrel roll on a Super Jump with the Manhattan Spirit is quite amazing. The Cavalry Bootlegger looks cool and the horn is indeed quite fun. Lastly, the all black GT Nighthawk also looks great; a bit disappointed though that the moving row of lights only works while boosting. BTW, I had/have trouble getting the boost chain trophy with the Nighthawk. Maybe someone can confirm/disprove. So far I tried a chain with boost only, a chain with full acceleration at all times (harder to do) and finally a chain online. Still no luck | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | Hey ya_shin, I couldn't get the trophy either. I was reading on the Playstation.com forums and people were also complaining about not being able to get. Criterion is going to need to send a patch out to fix that. As for the cars. It was really fun driving the P12 88 Special. It was really weird drifting while in the air though . The Manhattan was fun to drive with the lights on. Also, look carefully at the rear and you will see "We listen 2 u," on it. The Calvary Bootlegger is really fun and do make sure to press the L3 button. It also felt faster than the regular Calvary. Lastly, the GT Nighthawk is fun to drive and looks really nice. Like ya_shin, I am upset that the K.I.T.T. lights do not work all the time and only function while boosting. Overall, I think it was a worthy download (for me) and I can't wait to play some more with them. I know my friend will probably love the Manhattan because it was made to look like the Ghostbuster's car. -Shark2k |

And at the time when I tried it had been too early to find much on the internet yet (being in Asia and having a day off yesterday I got it really early). | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. I did it with the trophies before, but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle again. I think I'll just wait to see if they fix it in a future update. I'd rather not screw something up and loose everything. Although they now have a cheater pack for sale as well that unlocks all the cars. I guess it's good for people who just like to play online and haven't unlocked the cars playing offline. Or for people like my youngest son who loves playing, but is still on his B or C license. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.
