And I do have one title in my collection that doesn't have English subs or dubs on it and I don't speak the spoken language

It's not Silent Movie is it?

Nope it's a film in Spanish with no subs, it's an a version of Oasis of the Zombies with different scenes in it. I like zombie films.

I've also got the French release of Crying Freeman, which doesn't sub the French speaking sections (for obvious reasons) but it's the correct aspect ratio.

If Blu-ray was to win, no one is negatively effected options wise. For the people that don't care about the extra quality/abilities the Blu-ray format affords them, they can just ignore those extras. For the people that love all those extra bells and whistles, they get to enjoy them. The world is equally served.

For people not wishing the extra features, the "negative" cost is the extra money to pay for features they do not use: why would I have to pay a Jaguar when a Ford is enough for me ?
