I may be alone in this.. but I sure would like to see an Android V2.0 version of this or like software that would allow me to load the data base on my tablet!! While I know from reading forums that many OEM's block the WRITE TO feature of SD CARDS, It would be nice if a directory could be set up by the end use to read from.. SD-1 or SD-2. As I stated before a good ream of ink jet paper is around $20 and due to my collection size I have spent over $60.00 for paper + ink to print out my collection... and currently on both Amazon and newegg you can get a New/Refurbished Android 2.0 or higher tablet for around $60 w/shipping... I have the iPod/iPhone version on a iPod-Touch-v2 and it just seemed so slow!... | | | Growing older is mandatory...Growing up is optional... "Time spent with cats is never wasted." - Sigmund Freud |

| Posted: | | | | Just want to add my THANKS to Olivier - I only discovered this today. Seems to be working without a problem. My O2 San Francisco (ZTE Blade) isn't the fastest phone but the app works well with my nearly 2000 DVD collection.
Great job Olivier - thanks!

| Posted: | | | | Oliver,
I was also wondering, I don't know if this has been asked of yet but could you implement the location of the discs as well on the main screen or have it as a selection possibility. I would also like to see a higher resolution icon for the kindle fire as well.
Thank you! |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the program! After a few teething troubles (mainly using an Android phone for the first time), I have it running. Now I can (hopefully) avoid buying the same DVD twice when I'm out shopping! | | | trinalin

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for this! Just wanted to let you know that it installed well on my Asus Transformer Prime (TF201) with ICS. Uploaded everything manually from a USB stick (database and images). Worked fine.
Thanks again! |

| Posted: | | | | DavidEC - The program currently will work fine on a tablet but the issues is the right now it is not scaling covers.
The way I handle the table transfer is I set up a directory, and have DVDP_Droid plug in copy to the that directory then file copy to the tablet. The storage space is handled as a media device so it is just never assigned a driver letter.

-Robert <1> It all depends on the version of Android that the tablet is running.. currently it needs 2.3(?) or higher and many of the older (and even current eBay) tablets are running a older version of Android. <2> Since many tablets (Of course the current Nexus & Amazon Fire do not) allow for external SDCards it would be nice if the data/base could just be set up on the external drive {aka: SDCard} and not have to be imported into the system tablets built in storage/memory, and since different tables address their external SDCards differently, it would be nice if the end user could "map" where the data base is stored by using a basic file explorer and choice the storage location to be saved by the software. The advantage of this when you update the data base on your PC you could just save to the SDCard and not have to take the extra steps to move it to the devices internal memory/storage. | | | Growing older is mandatory...Growing up is optional... | Posted: | | | | I have just installed this app onto a Galaxy S running the latest firmware (2.3.6) and went to run it and all that appeared was a black screen. I have tried downloading it from the other source, uninstalling and reinstalling but has made no difference. What have I been doing wrong ?

Warrick First question: Have you synced you collection? If all you have done is install the program and started it, a black screen is the correct response. Otherwise we troubleshoot from here... |

Otherwise we troubleshoot from here... Thanks for that, I worked out the plugins doesn't work with my phone so I copied it over manually. It looks good, I wish it could show which ones were bluray (maybe a filter) Warrick |

Warrick Good news! So far, the only filters are genre. Oliver hasn't released an update lately. As for the plugin, have you tried putting the phone in drive mode, finding the folder manually, and then trying a sync? That's how I usually do a sync as my phone will not self detect. |
