The Avengers
Nick Fury is director of S.H.I.E.L.D, an international peace keeping agency. The agency is a who's who of Marvel Super Heroes, with Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When global security is threatened by Loki and his cohorts, Nick Fury and his team will need all their powers to save the world from disaster.

My Thoughts:
Before leaving to see this movie I was hoping all the hype I have read over the last few days wouldn't have my expectations up too high. Thankfully that was not the case... as I enjoyed every second of it! Don't worry... I will not go into any spoilers here. But this movie looked fantastic! It helps that I seldomly ever go to the theater... so seeing it on the big screen really was something different for me. This movie is almost two and a half hours long... but it sure didn't feel like it while watching it! Everything moved quickly... it is quite action packed... and it has a plenty of laughs as well. Sure there was maybe a few jokes that fell flat for me... but for the most part I think  Joss Whedon did an excellent job. As did the entire cast. I was a little concerned about Mark Ruffalo taking over the part of Bruce Banner... but I liked him in the role too. The Hulk was great on the big screen... matter of fact he stole the show in my personal opinion. As usual with these movies... don't forget to stay after the credits for a last little scene. Something not many people did in the theater we were at. But if you get the chance... definitely try to see this one on the big screen!

Title: Zack and Miri Make a Porno: Blockbuster Exclusive
UPC: 796019817967
Year: 2008
Director: Kevin Smith (1970)
Writer: Kevin Smith (1970) (Writer)
Rating: Rated R : Strong Crude Sexual Content Including Dialogue, Graphic Nudity and Pervasive Language
Length: 101 Min.
Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78:1
Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, French: Dolby Digital: 5.1
Subtitles: English, Spanish

Stars:
Elizabeth Banks (1974) as Miri
Seth Rogen as Zack
Craig Robinson as Delaney
Gerry Bednob as Mr. Surya
Edward Janda as Customer
Nicholas Lombardi as Teen #1

Plot:
Get ready for the wild comedy that goes where no movie has dared go before! Seth Rogen (Pineapple Express) and Elizabeth Banks (Role Models) star as two cash-strapped roommates who try to get out of debt by making an adult film. Once the cameras start rolling, things quickly get complicated...and hilarious! Writer/Director Kevin Smith is at his funniest, backed by a motley cast, including Craig Robinson ("The Office"), Jason Mewes (Clerks films), Justin Long (Live Free or Die Hard), and Brandon Routh (Superman Returns). Critics promise, "If you liked The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, and Superbad, you'll love Zack and Miri" (Shawn Edwards, Fox-TV).

Extras:
Scene Access
Bonus Trailers
Deleted Scenes
Featurettes
Outtakes/Bloopers

My Thoughts:
This one was given to me in a big bx of DVDs a while back. Is a Blockbuster exclusive disc that seems to come with some deleted scenes you can only get on this disc. I don't know how many deleted scenes is in the normal release... but this one has up over 40 in one section alone. Plus there is several more in another section of the special features. I have to admit that I enjoyed the movie itself. More then I thought I would actually. Though I do think it may have went a little too far for my taste in one or two scenes. But not so bad where it stopped me from enjoying the movie.

The ship appears deserted, but Jess is convinced she’s been on board before. They soon realize they are not alone. Someone is intent on hunting them down, one by one.

Extras:

My Thoughts:
This is a movie that I been wanting to check out for a while now... since reading a few good reviews for it. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Though it does get a little on the weird side... even to the point of slightly confusing so it is one that you definitely want to pay attention to through-out the entire film. While the entire cast did well... I really liked Melissa George in this one. Not only is it an interesting story... but it has a good atmosphere as well. Definitely one I would suggest giving a chance if you never seen it.

Just finished watching this one this morning. I been looking forward to it..as I have become a fan of Ryan Reynolds. While I did enjoy it... I was expecting a little more from him. Matter of fact, Tara Reid's performance really didn't feel like it was up to par either. It is a film I did enjoy... but not really sure why I enjoyed it as much as I did. As it really is only average compared to others in it's genre. Though this movie did do one thing a movie hasn't done to me in a long time. I literally gagged at one of their gross-out jokes. For those that seen it... I will say only one word... Pastries. Anyway... if you haven't seen this. I would say it isn't bad... but definitely seen better. Get this one cheap or catch it on cable.

I've learned to become a fan of Ryan Reynolds aswell.. He's done some great stuff.. But for some reason, i'm mostly fond of his latest work.. The earlyday work that he's done.. Doesnt do that much for me, but now the later years.. He's done a few great things.. And when it comes to Tara Reid.. Wow, what to say.. Hehe, i liked her in the first American Pie movie.. But thats it for me.. She could have become so much more.. And so much greater than she is today.. If she didnt mess it up.. (IMO)

My Thoughts:
This is a movie I have always liked quite a bit. But this is the first time I watched it since getting the upgrade to The Criterion Collection release. The only real difference in the releases is the extras. Which I watched some of... but not all. When it comes to the movie itself I have heard a couple things online about at... about half the people seem to hate it. Or as I have read a lot that people are enjoying it although it is awful heavy on US patriotism.  And even though I never really thought about it before I can see their point about the patriotism. Lets face it... this is a movie you can't take too seriously. I mean this is little more then a leave your brain checked at the door pop-corn movie. You have some real characters in this movie. In my opinion it is just fun to watch... no more and no less. But I personally enjoyed every minute of it.
