I think most programmers like to know what makes the user happy - it then becomes a challenge to either make it happen or negotiate an acceptable alternative. Or: Make a tax-field somewhere in the system settings, then have a tax-field for each profile, making it default to the system setting. Ofcourse, changing the tax in the settings should then not affect existing profiles... | | | The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. (William Gibson) |

| Posted: | | | | I have some wishes when it comes to how the cover scans are saved in the local database. Basicaly I would like the option to save it in better quality, pref. PNG-24 and Localy preview of scans for submission, after resizing, for quality check. And with that the ability to then downsize the covers yourself for better quality of the submission. Have started thread about it here |

| Posted: | | | | I don't believe this one has been mentioned just yet, but I'd love the ability to accept/reject the front cover separately from the back cover when doing updates. Usually on the front cover I'm looking for the best looking image I can get. Back on the back cover I'll take readability over looks. It's more important to me to be able to read the fine print than have the colors correct.
I'm going through some long overdue updates now and there's a fantastic improvement on The 39 Steps for the front cover that I want. But I'd prefer to keep my larger, clearer, but washed out back cover because the text is far sharper than the new one. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. I regularly put DVDs from other profiles to my wish list only to check out from the back cover what subtitles different releases offer. I don't always trust the subtitle-information that has been profiled, and online stores seem to list them often inaccurately (mostly not listing subtitles that are included). | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. I have a link to the Note in my comparison screen, so it's also in the preview Not the same window, but always just one click away... I use goodguys plugin, it's built-in there. I'm also using Goodguys Profile Comparison Plus Plugin for DVD Profiler, but it doesn't work with "Add DVD" preview. If I try, I'll get "Initializing... This preview skin cannot be used outside the profile comparison window." Are we talking about same plugin or am I doing something wrong? |

| Posted: | | | | Uhm, no, you're not doing anything wrong... I wrote the above from memory and was obviously confused...
The one I use for preview is RHo's skin, which (I believe) has a link already. However, if you use another one but know how to edit it, following is the link you'll need; just place it somewhere in your preview skin:

When I add a box set to my collection, the child objects should be automatically brought in with it. I don't see the need to have to add all the individual discs seperately if the box "knows" what its contents are. Also, on a related note, when I add a title to a box set, or change certain data in a box set, those changes should automatically propogate to the child objects. For example, why should I have to enter the purchace date and price six or seven times for a TV show box set instead of just once for the box, and have it populate the fields in the child objects? --------------- |

| Posted: | | | | Well, just found this, but better late than never, right? *grins* #1 wish...tough choice between italics/"/bold in overview, being able to profile 2 movies on one disc separately, and being able to copy and paste cast/crew without deleting what's already there.
My two cents on the tax/shipping fields...that'd be nice but agree, you'd have to figure out how to not change what's already been entered...though how about on the downloading screen(the personalize one), where you enter in info on where you bought it/tags/price, you could also enter in the tax % you're using and that stays the same for what you're downloading (kind of like store and date purchased does already), but you can change it the next time you add a profile. That way you can change the %, but only for what you're downloading and like store and price, this info wouldn't change in already entered profiles. | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | Absolutely! Here's another (minor) wish due to a problem I stumbled across recently. Occasionally a DVD contains an extra movie as a bonus feature. As it's a bonus feature, this extra movie will not show up in either the Title or the Original Title field. And hence, if this bonus movie was also released on its own, you might end up buying it again, because a Title Search will not reveal that you already own it. I'd be very happy if there were some way of preventing this. I'm not sure what would be the best way to accomplish this. Obviously such bonus features could not be entered into either the Title or the Original Title field. They would typically be listed under "Other Features". The question then becomes: how could such movies best be entered? In a new separate field?? (And then include that field in Title searches, of course...) |
