It may perhaps be of interest to know what prompted me to add the test for dividers in the latest update.

Problem:
I wanted to know what multi-film box sets that still had cast/crew info in the parent even though I had added boxset children. This would mainly be single discs where I had added manual children in order to be able to track watch date and set individual ratings.

Solution:
- Genres is not equal to Television
- Is Boxset Parent is True
- Has Episode Dividers is True

This initially gave me a lot of false hits, as described in my previous post, but once I had corrected those I got a very manageable list of titles where I needed to update the info in the boxset children (and parents), possibly also changing the child IDs using variants instead of Manual IDs, so they can be contributed.

If you have any tips on how you use ProfilerQuery, feel free to post them here.

Also, if you have any feature requests for ProfilerQuery (or indeed for any of my programs), I am always interested in hearing them, and I will implement them if I find it feasible.

I found a very minor bug. ProfilerQuery would cause an exception (recoverable) if you used Tools -> Duplicate Check and no duplicates were found. Fixed in ProfilerQuery 2.4.1.

ProfilerQuery 2.5.0

Statistics added for the selected profiles. Run without selection to get statistics for all profiles.
The entries under Format are a bit cluttered. I may clean that up, eventually.

I should mention that I am not entirely happy with the formatting of the audio data, and this will be redesigned soon.

I left out cast and crew, because I felt that it would be too much data to be presented in its entirety. I contemplated doing a top 20 (or 50 or 100), but that would add to both memory requirements and processing time.

So this is most likely not the final look for the statistics, but I thought I'd release it anyway, just to see if anybody has any thoughts about it.

I would also like to know if anybody notices any significant delay in running queries with the added functionality. On my machine and with 7000+ profiles it still runs almost instantaneous. But I could add an option to skip the statistics if needed.

ProfilerQuery 2.5.1
Fixed the audio presentation the way I wanted it.

This image shows the result of a very small selection, of course. Just so the result didn't get too large.

I have been fiddling with a Top 100 Actors feature today. It works, but it slows down the processing to the point that the program appears to be hanging, so I'll probably have to rewrite the processing so it runs on its own thread. Limiting the number of actors doesn't have any significant impact on the processing, it's mainly the sorting of the entire actor collection by credit count that is the bottleneck.

So, the limitation is mostly cosmetic, i.e. it just isn't practical to display thusands of actors. 100 seemed like a good limit, because you'd probably only be interested in the top ones. Or does anyone think it should be more than 100?

Interestingly, the most credited actor in my collection turned out to be Richard Dean Anderson with 299 credits. This is of course due to the fact that I have complete series of both MacGuyver and Stargate SG-1. With Television genre excluded the top one is Mel Blanc with 225 credits.

I have decided to post further development notices in the Plugins forum. Although ProfilerQuery isn't actually a plugin, it seems that there is where other tool developers post, so I will follow suit.

See announcement of ProfilerQuery 2.6 here.

Please do not post any further in this thread!
