| Posted: | | | | Quoting Bartman: Quote: I have downloaded version 3.8.1 1535 build from an internet site, installed it and I was able to open my database stored on that same NAS drive as I was before I tried to update to version 3.8.2.
It works without any issue.
Please tell me where you found this older version? |

| Posted: | | | | I am surprised that neither of the people having issues has shared details of their configuration. Perhaps there is a common element that will give a clue:
- Need OS, and level, and whether up to date, and memory - Location of DVDP folders (listed in the System tab of Options) - Location of DVDP database - Indicate role of NAS, iSCSI or other in your data access - Indicate whether running in a virtual machine or native, or MAC emulator - Any atypical applications (especially shareware) installed on your system - Your brand of Antivirus and level - Anything else you know about your environment that we can't see or know
This is not to imply that you have done anything wrong It is just a suggestion for the collection of diagnostic data that can help others get a clue as to what is going on.
Maybe somebody can suggest a system information utility that both of you can run, so we can easily compare results? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | I'm having the same exact problem from 3.8.1 to 3.8.2
is it possible to delete the database and restore from the back up?
I'm running Win7 64 i7 Intel. 16 gig of memory.
antivirus is not the issue as it continues when disabled. data is being stored on a local drive
the issue is obviously a change to the database structure, that isn't being fixed. | | | Last edited: by lainix |

| Posted: | | | | OK i've found a fix for mine. go into your My documents folder and rename the DVD profiler folder. open dvd profiler and it will recreate the folder and you can restore a backup or download from your online list. |
