+1
Even though I fear it would have ended up in a non-conclusive result, if not in a tie.

Then it should have been a poll with only one choice

I can't believe people didn't pick up on the geopolitical contingencies of the global market.

The problem is the bolded part.
Taking the political effects of "." into account would make this a disallowed thread that would have to be immediately closed down by the mods.

So as much as it hurts, we'd have to restrict ourselves to the global social effects of ".".
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

This is the most exciting thread I've seen in a long time. Has anyone considered a "." Wiki entry?

Yeah... whatever. If you don't want to answer the question of ".", then don't.

Please stay on topic.
"." in no way implies a question, on the contrary it should be seen as the ultimate ending of each answer.

There can't be an answer since "." is not a "?", and (almost) by definition the end of all answers.

You, Sir, chose to distract this thread from it's original topic "." which doesn't demand an answer to a variation of "?" which would demand an answer. An answer which, BTW, I could easily give, but I don't want to partake in your game and derail this thread more than it already is.

You may want to take the opening of a new thread into consideration with the topic "?". Here I will provide all the necessary answers.

Why are all these guys (including me) discussing their "."? The wimmin I know would never discuss theirs in a public forum.

Decorum, fellas!
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

That might be for two reasons:

- Wimmin love it when the obvious is stated, but only scarcely do it themselves.
- << REMOVED FOR BEING SEXIST >>

It's not too surprising. People create articles at Wikipedia for every conceivable idea. That's the .

So you know that particular subject would eventually have an article created about it at some .

I think that we should be relaxed about the .

At least the . is doing a fine job, and even is able to lift it's own weight as seen here :
Signature? We don't need no stinking... hang on, this has been done... blast [oooh now in Widescreen]
Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well

NoNoNo,
42 would be one (if not THE) answer to "?" and never ever the answer to ".". Please compare my previous posts.

Not only that. "." can do a lot of astonishing things more:
It can lift and balance things much bigger than itself. Check "!"
It can climb extremely high. Check "i"
If it bloats itself it can even fly. Check "°" (OK, it's not actually flying, more a kind of hovering, but it's nevertheless impressive, isn't it.)
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
