| | Posted: | | | | I'm seeing this problem too. I updated my users from my contacts on my phone and marked 3 movies as loaned. Then I tried to sync that back to the main database on the PC. But it always crashes. It's an immediate crash out of the app with no errors. Rebooting doesn't help either.

I was having the same problem, inital sync was OK, scan in a couple of barcodes on the iPhone, set a couple to loaned, then try to re-sync the changes back to the PC. Every time I tried to sync back to the PC, the app just exited (was still running in the background). Tried rebooting the iPhone and PC, no change.
Deleted the App from my iPhone and re-installed. Done the same procedure as before and it all works this time! |

At first I only owned the iOS version. I scanned about 80 DVDs. Since I really loved the app, I decided to buy the desktop version, too, for better editing possibilities.
So I connected the database I had created on the iPhone to the PC version and tried to synchronize. I tried three times, the app always crashed while "Sending changes", the PC version showed no DVDs. Restarting the app did not help. After restarting the PC version all DVDs where there.
Now I started sync again on the iPhone. Now the app crashed while "Copying profiles". I restarted the app and while on the collection main page a total of 81 was displayed, only 12 profiles were visible in the collection (no filter was active). I synchronized again, but now only 4 profiles were left on the iPhone (still 81 on the PC client). I continued to synchronize a few times with restarting iPhone app and PC client with no success. The point is, it obviously didn't crash while processing a certain profile but rather randomly.
After that I turned the database on the iPhone into a local one and created a new empty database which I connected to the PC client. Synchronizing worked without any problems from that point on. Upto now I have scanned another 200 DVDs with the iPhone and synchronized the profiles to the PC client and the profile updates back to the iPhone.
One thing that might be of interest: For all profiles I've scanned with the iPhone the PC client found an update, so I wonder why all the profiles created via barcode scan are outdated.
Sorry for writing a hole novel, but I'm hoping to help solving the issues with it.

I installed this app on iPhone and iPad.
For iPad (last iOS)
The app crash every time when i tryed an update with "save changes" ON
When save changes is OFF no crash and Sync is ok
For iPhone (last iOS 3GS)
No crash and a full sync whith "save changes" ON

Hi - having the "app closes on ipad on update" issue. I saw this thread, and scanned my whole collection from the grid view on my PC to see if any titles were missing a cover image. But, none showed blank. Is there a better way to know if I am missing an image, or have you uncovered any other reasons for this issue? Thanks.
