Your making good use of a small space. Great job. I had a similiar situation iin our last house. No room for a dedicated theatre. The only room for the projector was the living room for the screen and I used a draper pull down in front of the entry doors. When the screen was down no one could go in or out of the front doors. It worked well other than that and provided a superb image.

I'm watching movies in a 27 m² room (combined home theater, living-dining room, and kitchen).

Setup: SEG 6-head HiFi Stereo VCR, model Texas, with Hi-Speed rewind...

... on a Daewoo Electronics Colour Television, model 21 A 5 T, with a 20", 4:3 flat square blackscreen tube.

Connection: Aerial Cable (at the moment, planning to upgrade to RGB-SCART to improve picture quality even further).

The sound from the Internal Mono Speaker is actually quite good - if used at low volume.

Movie theater seats: Pine Wood Chairs.

I like the chairs. The red on the wall looks good too.  What I don't get is the blue and black euro jacks on the back of the TV. What are they for???

I like bbbbb's. My set is a little bigger, but his chairs are much finer than mine.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

They're SCART sockets. They carry both audio and video signals. I guess it's kind of like a 20th Century version of HDMI.

SCART - one (most likely the black one) is Out and should be connected to the TV, that would give you depending on your hardware a composite, a s-video or even a RGB-connection.
The blue one is In for signals from another VCR or a Decoder for pay-tv or a DVD-Player with SCART if macrovision is disabled.

bbbbb - have you thought of upgrading your home cinema with one of those modern little gadgets called a 'remote control'. Apparently quite complicated and purely a luxury, but I think given the grandeur of your system it would be a worthwhile extra to justify the expenditure.

Me too, much better than standing-place.

Unfortunately the bright strong powerful vibrant red is only visible by daylight or artificial light, otherwise not.

You mean one of those modern little gadgets called a 'remote control' like those lying on the table?

Very nice and I see you haven't spared any expense on the media either. All top shelf stuff.

You have no idea. Alone what the still life without importunate she-cat has cost me.

Props for bbbbb

I don't have any proper photographs, but I have:

Sony KDH-X3500 46" Full HD television
5.1 system with "Monitor Audio" speakers (no subwoofer)
Sony STR DG-820 Receiver
Sony BDP-S550 & Sony BDP-S300 BR-players (the latter one serves as CD-player nowadays)

Really want to build a dedicated home theater room, but I am moving in 3 months and have to wait until I am settled in the new home...
