Ocasionlly they are even cheaper than the DVD. I have a HD/BD combo PC drive and an XBox 360 drive. The HD titles I have do look and sound superb, but I don't plan to buy any more. I do wish I had a good HD/BD (non-PC) player, although I guess the XBox has the equivalent quality and convenience. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. I will pick up every new release (if I am interested) on Blu-Ray exclusively but I truly doubt I will upgrade many of the movies in my collection unless it is just one of the must have titles for me, such as:
Alien Aliens Lord of Rings Trilogy Braveheart Gladiator Big Trouble in Little China Just a few examples of some upcoming Blu-Ray releases!!! When LOTR does get released try not to be tempted into Peter Jackson's little trap., His trilogy on Blu will be bare boned theatrical versions.., wait six months after that and spend double and get the deluxe special edition versions so many of us are enjoying on standard DVD . | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. I'll wait until Pioneer releases their 400GB Blu-ray discs so that the 3 extended films can be played back to back without a break in between |

| Posted: | | | | I don't own a HD-DVD player but I've seen used HD-DVDs in local shops for a couple of quid so I've been tempted. If I could find a cheap deck (2nd hand maybe) I would probably go for it. But then I'd probably have to buy another player as a spare in case the other broke and I couldn't source another. |

| Posted: | | | | I am still a proud owner of an HD-DVD Player. I have over 180 Titles on HD-DVD and will never give them up. Many of the titles now came out on Blu but besides Shining and Blade Runner I didn't buy anything double. Oh and the new Terminator 2 Skynet Edition of course.
But I digress. I will keep my Player as long as it works. I will also get a second player if I find a good one cheap just to be sure.
Of course now all my devotion goes to Blu and with over 180 HD-DVD Titles there is almost nothing left I want. And those I would buy are extremely expensive. | | | Check out my Youtube channel under https://www.youtube.com/user/alittleolder |

| Posted: | | | | I still ahve two HD DVD players, XE1's, and an X-Box drive, as I have 150 HD DVD's and use them also for DVD upscaling. But only buy Blu now and have over 100 BD's as HD DVD's are near impossible to come buy in Australia. Watching what happens with CHDVD though. |
