| Posted: | | | | Oddly, even though I've created a new profile, the issue hasn't gone away as I found a few titles in my 'Owned' collection which do not have cast and crew, and most of the titles in my Wish List do not have that data. |

I thought everything was fixed after creating a new profile, restoring data from a previous backup, and refreshing that profile. I'm not particularly tech-savvy with things like XML documents and the one I created opens as a blank page which confused me. How should I open the XML document and how do I add downloaded plug-ins such as BulkEdit? |

No need for you to go messing with plugins and XML before you get your database fixed.
Please confirm that you have done this:
- create a new clean database - restore the most recent database backup into the new empty one - backup
If you have not yet done this, you are wasting your time and mine. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks. Now I have to be honest and say that this problem might be above my pay grade. But I am willing to keep throwing out suggestions ... (1) Is it possible that locks have something to do with this? (2) Is there a specific set of profiles that do not refresh, that you can export into a separate backup file? If so, does the same problem happen when you restore that subset into a clean database? (3) Is there a subset of problem profiles that you are willing to share? If so, flag them, make a backup and make available somewhere I can download and PM me the link. I am willing to take a look, if you want. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. I am willing to take a look, if you want. I've noticed a lack of consistency in the profiles with missing data as some of the cast and/or crew sections locked and others don't. Sometimes a database refresh will indicate a profile has now cast and/or group data and other times I'll see one when looking for another profile and can easily get the data by going through the Online –> Refresh DVD from Invelos –> Refresh Profile Only process. I haven't noticed any common factors (director, purchase date, label, genre etc.) in the profiles which are missing the data, so nothing specific which will link them. |

| Posted: | | | | So, does that mean you don't want me to take a look? Nothing has to be common for you to flag them them and do a backup, except they are all "problem profiles." Just say what the problem is you are seeing for each profile, and I will see if it happens to me. Simple as that. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. I'd happily email a backup of my database to you (or share it on OneDrive) to see if the issue is with the profile, the database, and what that means for a corrupted file and the best solution. At the moment, I'm thinking of completely removing all the data from my second computer and creating a new profile on that, restoring the backup onto that new profile and then taking it from there. |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, go ahead and make a copy of your database available in whatever way I can get to it, as I said before. PM me the instructions. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

| Posted: | | | | Well that took forever on my slow laptop. But your database is loaded, 8356 profiles and so what now? What am I looking for? How can I tell what, if anything is wrong? What sequence of steps must I follow to notice a problem? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

| Posted: | | | | I think we have a good workaround. After loading the database myself, I had no trouble refreshing any individual profile, or from a flag set.
The database was too large for me to experiment with refreshing the entire collection. There was one profile in the online that caused an error on download, and I suspect that the user was not aware of the need to continue the refresh after this error, hence the remaining downloads were not performed. That is my assumption.
At any rate, I had no trouble refreshing profiles in the database, and passed on my experiences to the user.
I might mention that I restored the user's database into a clean new database, just to be sure. Never can go wrong with that. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

| Posted: | | | | User now insists that somehow the "Refresh" menu does not appear after Collection > Flagged, even after having Reset All Menus.
I am now not sure I trust all the info I am getting from the user here, but if anyone has experience with this, please share.
All I know is that I have found no issues or weirdness with this user's database, and I am able to operate on it with DVD Profiler commands in the normal way. | | | Thanks for your support. I've followed your instructions but cannot see what you say I should, and what I want to see because it will make life so much easier! I am telling you the truth in every private message and want this to be resolved as soon as possible, so please don't cast aspersions on me. |

Hopefully somebody with knowledge of this situation will be attracted to the conversation soon. I completely understand if this is frustrating – the situation is irritating me because I don't know what caused it and I don't how to fix it. |
