This may be answered and I am just searching using the wrong terms..

Is there anyway to export to SD CARD insert the card into the Android Device and then import the Android program??

:David

OK, simple answer is yes.

Now the questions start:
1) Phone or tablet?

2) If phone what brand?  Have the drivers for Windows been installed on your computer?

3) Is the program installed?  Depending on brand of phone, can even be done from Windows desktop with the sync software.

  Let us know.

[1A] I have two tablets one running Android 2.0.1 [Rooted/Updated 18month old Pandigital Novel] the other one Android 3.2 [factory fresh Dell Streak-7 WiFi]
[2A] What windows drivers?  Are you talking about the DVDP plugin? If so ''Not Yet' its has been downloaded just not installed till I find out the answer to my question.
[3A] Will install if I find that I can use the 'SD' card to import the data base to the Android device(s) as the Dell will not allow data via the power sync cable unless it has been 'rooted' and it seems that with the 3.2 update they have locked down the device so it has become very hard to 'root'.

OK,
At this point I need to pass this off to one of the other members who has been trouble shooting tablets.  My guess is you "side load" (if that's even the correct term), the program on the tablet and load the data via USB cable with the plugin.

First question is how does you computer see your tablet when you plug it in.

As a removable drive or as a media device.

If it is as a Media device then you have to use the Android SDK part of the plug in, and get the windows drivers installed.

If it sees it as drive and has a drive letter you could set that within the plug in as well.

Robert: Right now my computer sees the device as a music player, but it is just easier to write to the SD card on my PC and plug it into the device than trying to push data to the SD card on the device. (takes three times as long to write the same data via the cable!, found that out trying to move a few freeware books over to the device.. I can copy *.APK's to the SD card and then using a file finder install the software on the device, have done that with a few programs which are not "GOOGLE SUPPORTED FOR DEVICE" software.)

Does it work with Android 4.0.3 (HTC Sensation)?
I have installed the new version (not from the first post).
But then I open the App, I only get a black screen.
If I press the options button, it gives me some opportunity:
- View Mode
- Search
- Sort
- Filter
- About
- Setting & Tools
- Quit

what should I do now?
I thought that I had to logon?

Regards
Forbandelsen.

David -

Ok put the APK on your phone and install and run the app, it will not actually work at this point.

Install the plug in, and generate the DB and use to disc, and just point it to your SD card and the droid_dvdp folder and lett he plug in do its thing.

You should be fine.

Forbandelsen - It runs fine on my Asus with ICS

Have you put a DB on the phone yet ?

No, I didn't download the plugin, if that is what you mean.
Because Firefox giving me a warning when I try to open the link,
and recommends me not to continue

Hi there,
tried the plugin 0.4 with the app 0.3 as well. Export works well, exporting to removable drive as well as manual copying. After starting the app, I see my whole collection. I can scroll through the entries, sort, etc. Cover thumbnails are displayed correctly.
But as soon as I tap on an entry, the app crashes unexpectedly. The german error message is: "Sorry! Die Anwendung Droid DVDP (Prozess com.ksoft.droid_dvdp) wurde unerwartet beendet. Versuchen Sie es erneut". Translated: "Sorry! The application Droid DVDP (Process com.ksoft.droid_dvdp) was closed unexpectedly. Please try again."
This happens on three different devices:
- HTC Legend with Cyanogen Mod 7.2RC1; Android 2.3.7
- Samsung Galaxy Tab; Android 2.3.6
- Samsung Galaxy SII; Android 2.3.5
Is this maybe a Gingerbread problem? Unfortunately I do not have any other devices available.
The ICS update for the Galaxy SII is not yet released in Germany.
Btw: I also tried to export only one flagged entry. I also tried a single UK title and an RC1 DVD from my collection in hope to eliminate a possible special character problem. The result is always the same crash.
Can I contribute some further information? Please tell me then.
Greetings,
mjoelner

Pick 1 DVD and flag it, and do an export.

If that crashed try a few different ones to see if its more consistent.

Oliver would I assume use german/flemish/french ?

What were your export settings ?
