Don't hold any punches now!

But yeah... I know what you mean. Any true fan of the actual series is left very disappointed. The only way you can enjoy something like that at any level at all is if you are not familiar with the series.

Though there are exceptions. The Bewitched movie really wasn't anything like the series... but I actually enjoyed that one. Though they could have picked someone better for Darrin.

...sorry about that. I'm just nostalgic when it comes to "Starsky and Hutch". The series played during a turbulent time in my life and it was a refuge and haven from the difficulties I was experiencing. For the studios to treat it the way they did was very disheartening. Ok...I'll get off my soap box now .

I never saw the "Bewitched" movie...although I enjoyed the series growing up.

My Thoughts:
OK... this is not normally my thing. I am not what one would call a music fan. And there is definitely a lot in this movie. But I knew this going in. When my friend offered to send me this one... the main reason for saying yes was because of 2 things....

1. Kirsten Dunst
2. Eliza Dushku

And I definitely enjoyed watching these two girls (as well as many others) dance around in short skirts and bikinis. So that was definitely enough for me to not only stick it out... but get some enjoyment from it. Besides that... the main storyline is entertaining as well. I liked both Kirsten Dunst and Eliza Dushku's characters in this movie... it was fun to watch them in such a different type of movie then I am used to seeing them in. I don't know how often I could possibly watch this movie... but I can see myself watching it again with a reason (fitting into marathons and such).

My Rating: 3/5

Title: Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut
Year: 1980
Director: Richard Donner
Rating: PG
Length: 116 Min.
Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.40:1
Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, Commentary: Dolby Digital: 2-Channel Stereo
Subtitles: English, French, Spanish

Stars:
Gene Hackman
Christopher Reeve
Marlon Brando
Ned Beatty
Jackie Cooper
Sarah Douglas

Plot:
You haven't seen all the Superman films until you've seen this! Superman II starring Christopher Reeve returns with a never-before-seen beginning and resolution. Director Richard Donner began shooting his vision of Superman II while concurrently filming Superman The Movie. For the first time, his unique vision is here. Jor-El (Marlon Brando in recently found footage) appears in key new scenes that amplify Superman lore and deepen the relationship between father and son. Lois Lane (Margot Kidder) plots more schemes to unmask Clark Kent as Superman. With so many changes, large and small, this version is an eye-opening alternate experience.

Extras:
Scene Access
Audio Commentary
Deleted Scenes
Featurettes
Closed Captioned

My Thoughts:
I finally got to see this version of Superman II for the very first time. And let me tell you... I enjoyed every minute of it. This version corrects most of the problems I had with the theatrical release. All those strange new powers that you never seen before in anything related to Superman is gone from this one. They still have Superman give up his powers... which is a portion of the movie I don't particularly care for as I find those scenes a little too slow. But I understand they are needed for the story they were telling. And I found I enjoyed the story better in this version. I must say I am thankful to those of you that encouraged me to finally add this version to my collection. It is definitely the better version... I enjoyed every minute of it!

I just got it today... so I haven't had the chance to watch any of the extras on the disc yet. Well... except for the introduction from Richard Donner.

My Thoughts:
The mood hit me this morning to watch an animated movie. Since this one was recently given to me I decided to watch it again. I have seen this movie a couple times before... and have always enjoyed every second of it. It has become one of my favorite animated movies. It has been a while since I seen it last so I forgot just how good this movie is. The animation is done very well and where I am a big fan of Superhero movies... I felt the storyline was great too. Definitely one I would highly recommend for anyone who has never seen it.
