BTW congratulations with your OLED TV! Bought an E6 myself last year and I fully agree with your assessment! | | Posted: | | | | No, the Oppo is region locked as per the requirements of the blu-ray association (it would be illegal to sell it codefree out of the box), but can be fitted with a region-free modification, at some extra expense of course. Some dealers will install the mod for you.

I am also a big fan of Onkyo and LG. I have had problems, but they were resolved by outstanding customer service from both companies. Wish I could afford upgrades, although my LG is brand new due to a warranty replacement - my 2013 model was not available to replace, so they sent me an amazing 3D 2016 model - which no thanks to you guys, I am now discovering is already obsolete!  | | | Thanks for your support.

But there are times when the 3D version of a film is available in other countries way before the US. When budget allows, I might swap out my el cheapo iVid all-region for an Oppo, based on the discussion here (but will I see /hear any difference?) On the other topic, maybe 3D will see a resurgence. I find that the most recent ones I have seen in the theater were less stressful to my eyes and did bring a worthwhile enhancement to viewing. | | | Thanks for your support.
