| Posted: | | | | I never tried any beta version from 3.7.0 so I don't know if the error is in some betas also.
After installation everything goes just fine.
But this was the last time when I was able to launch the program.
Now every single time same error occurs when launching the program. Program hangs and refuses to open. (Program has send error report to Invelos several times).
1. No difference if program was updated over the existing version or clean install. 2. Running database repair tool doesn't fix this. 3. On my WinXP 32bit machine program runs just fine. 4. DVDP 3.6.1.1392 is running fine on Win7 64bit
After few hours of struggle with 3.7.0 I managed to get it completely out of my PC. Reinstalled DVDP 3.6.1.1392 and now everything is fine again. Except that new version popup window.
I hope that those error reports are useful and new version is coming soon. | | | Last edited: by JaLe |

| Posted: | | | | Your problem might (and most likely will) be caused by an incompatible plug-in.
Try what happens if you start up 3.7 while keeping the CTRL and the Shift key pressed.
If it starts then, unload all plug-ins and reload them one by one until the culprit is found. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | The most common cause of this is a local firewall blocking the Internet connection. When a new version is installed, the firewall must be told to allow it to connect. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

-Robert This worked for me too. Thanks, but still weird why it didn't work in the first place. |

| Posted: | | | | I have done database repair, I have give program a full access to network, I even uninstalled firewall and antivirus programs totally and tested without those. Nothing seems to help with this.
1st run after installation is working fine. But when program is closed then it wont start again. PC restart doesn't have any affect to this.
Anyhow the fact is that 3.6.1.1392 is running on my system just fine, without any firewall or network tweaks or any other tweaks. I'm currently using this older version.
Problem occurs with 3.7.0 so there must be something "wrong" or changed in program itself what is causing this. |

| Posted: | | | | Try right-clicking on setup.exe and select Run As Administrator. Maybe some registry entries don't get written correctly. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm
