| Posted: | | | | As we start winding down the feature and functionality implementation phase, we wanted to give our users one last chance to get their voices heard for version 1.0. So, with that in mind I open this thread to any and all feature requests for the iPhone/iPad version. Bear in mind we'll be considering these not only for 1.0 but also for future updates. Although we'd love to share the features already planned/implemented, we don't want to tip our hand to our competition just yet. Some basic notes: DVD Profiler for iPhone/iPad is what we're calling the app here. On the app store it will likely be called just 'DVD Profiler'. It will be compatible with iPhone/3g/3gs, iPod Touch, and iPad. For the iPod Touch, the latest paid firmware will be required. Note: To be clear, we still have much work to be done before release. More info will be out soon. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative | | | Last edited: by Ken Cole |

One thought I had is for the trailers button to be active through the iPhone app, since Youtube is easily handled. And possibly the profile links as well. | | | Last edited: by synnerman |

| Posted: | | | | I'm just eager to see v1.0. Beyond that it's hard to know what's already there or not there or the capabilities of it. So I have no requests at this time. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | Actually while I very rarely use Movie Pick, I think I would actually find some use for it on my phone. If someone is coming over, I could hand them my phone and let them find something. It's not nearly as convenient to drag them off to the computer room and sit them at my computer to pick something. I might even use it myself if I could do it from the comfort of my sofa! | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

I'll admit I dismissed the iPad when it was announced, but I have changed my mind. I think it's a real game-changer. Mine should be in by the end of next week - up till then I'm stuck with the emulator for testing. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Here's one, assuming it isn't already in v1.0.
The ability to scan a disc UPC and download the associated profile.
I have a couple iPhone apps (redLaser, GroceryIQ) that do this nicely. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | Yay! I have an iTouch and am looking forward to this. I use My Movies and enjoy being able to look at what I have and can only imagine having Profiler on it!
My biggest request is that box set profiles are taken care...so the child profiles are only shown if requested somehow (plus sign like the normal program?). An easy way to jump from profile to profile would be nice, too. I mean, a way to easily jump from the "a's" to the "z's." | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | Ya know, this totally invalidates my Mac Mini purchase. To voice what rdd said, I have a jailbroken 3G phone. Just sayin' But my iPad, it's friggin' ITCHING to run this app. Itching I say! The one request I would ask for is that it doesn't suck. Okay, really, my request is to make it possible for the app to talk with a PC to launch an app/batch file with the end goal of playing a movie. Maybe make it possible to run plugins on a remote linked computer so it can run the LoadDVD plugin? Real life scenario: You're sitting on the couch with a guy/girl you want to impress. You hand them your iPad and ask them to pick a movie they'd like to see. They find one and hand the iPad back to you, indicating that this is the one they want to see. Without even needing to get up to locate the disc and insert it in the player and thus leaving this person alone even briefly, you tap a button and the HDTV comes to life and the movie starts playing. | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |
