| | Posted: | | | | Supposedly, 3-D Blu-ray hits next year. Do we know anythign about the requirements to use it? My Westinghouse TV really isn't that great and I'd like to replace it with a SONY XBR8, but I don't want to buy a TV that won't be able to do 3-D at least through a shuttered method. |

Mind you, it is almost getting as bad as computers, where you buy a new computer, and it is out of date before you leave the store.

Secondly you need a 3D TV/beamer that was design for it, it's not a simple upgrade of actual device sorry. Basiclly the screen must be able to refresh at 120Hz.
Now there is only a couple of device compatible. Some 22" LCD display, one or 2 24", some DLP beamer and Mitsubishi retroprojector TV (that are DLP too in fact).
