Since we can only evaluate when logged into our account, would it be possible to have a setting making my choice of acceptance of image view permanent? I find it a bit annoying to have to accept [or decline] every time there's images to approve [or disprove of].

Agreed
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Disagree. Users can set their login via cookie to remember login/password so that they don't have to login for each session. Since the user accessing the image voting screen isn't necessarily the actual logged-in user, Invelos has to cover their butts legally.

I agree. I never have to log in but I do view the voting screens at work. I want to have to activlely confirm to see images for that session. Just in case my 'invisibles friends' porn images show up and I looked at the images..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that remembering login/password doesn't stop the site from requesting confirmation every time.

And why not have "ask on every session" as one of the options in the setting. Then you can get the old behavior if you share your computer with others.

I usually only log in once every few weeks or so, and it doesn't ask for confirmation every time. If you're evaluating a lot of image contributions at one time, you only get the confirmation screen once. Or at least that's been my experience.

But, if you're inactive on the website for a while...perhaps 15 minutes...the confirmation screen will come up again and the cycle repeats.

Aren't you responsible for the security of your own pc? Other people shouldn't be able to log on to your pc using your user credentials.

Well, first of all Evo asked for an option to have this acceptance permanent.
Second: If run a system without any security policies (otherwise the situation you mentioned can't happen) its a bit inequitable to demand websites to raise the security level on their end instead.

Me three.

Having to answer that question once per session hardly seems that obtrusive to me.

EDIT:  I guess I spoke too soon.  Today it seems like I have had to answer that question several times in a single session.  I don't remember it working that way before.

I agree with 8Ball. I don't see any advantage to this concept at all. The question is not whether you are willing to accept the images for your local database...believe me no one is going to get their images into mine. The question is whether a new image set is an improvement or CORRECT even many is the time i have seen incorrect images submitted. I spend and expect to continue to spend a lot of time reviewing Contributions for all kinds of errors.
