| Posted: | | | | You can now view a list of links you've submitted which have received feedback as invalid. Click "View Link Feedback" on the main link submission page to view the list.
Some common things to check for the links: - Make sure they follow the link guidelines (matching locality, site type, etc) - Make sure the selected link category is appropriate - Check whether the site requires a login. Some links may work for you if you have an auto-login set for the site but won't work for other users.
If a particular link has feedback but is valid, you can safely ignore the feedback. A single feedback vote won't remove the link from display and administrators also check the links before removing them. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Ken... Is it possible to see why our links were considered invalid by others? I just checked them, and as far as I could tell, there's nothing wrong with any of them... The other thing - on the list of entries that have received invalid feedback, there is a link to the subject with a link to the DVD underneath. Clicking on the bottom (DVD link pulls up a page that says "Unable to edit locks for this profile" ... is that supposed to happen? | | | Watching the world, one DVD at a time... |

It would be good if there were a way for me further vaildate these flagged links. |

| Posted: | | | | Ken,
Is there any way to leave a short message when you identify a link as invalid?
Case in point, for the animated Disney film 101 Dalmations there are three links which I've identified as invalid because they point to the live action film instead.
So, although these links "work", they're not for the right film. Would the screeners want to know why a link had been identified as invalid? |

Technically neither is wrong but the first is redundant and not needed if there's a link to it from the main page. Quote:

Dunno, if it's a sound clip... Why would it be different from a photo or video? But you should propbably only link to the page with the clips, not the mp3-files directly (as with .mov files). | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Nexus the Sixth |

| Posted: | | | | All but one of my "invalid" links were for imdb, wiki or apple sites in English for English produced movies. So what I'm I supposed to do about them, just ignore them? Except one is in Swedish for a Swedish movie... Some German don't like. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Nexus the Sixth |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe we could have an optional locality preference setting in the user interface so we are only exposed to links in our native language, if we prefer... Seems rather pointless to submit links if people don't want them. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | Well, I think the positive and negative votings on the links do not only mirror the functionality/correctness of a link but more or less the personal preferences? ! | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

| Posted: | | | | I looked again on my negative votes and it seems that some users simply vote against it if it contains a %XX instead of a symbol. I find this offensive, it makes no difference whatsoever to the link. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

I'm sorry ... I know I can be an idiot from time to time ... but I have no idea what that means... when you attach a link to the profile, if you connect it by title/production year it will show up on all the profiles that have that title (or original title) and production year. This could include profiles in other localities. So the no vote you are seeing is from someone who owns one of these profiles, and since you don't have the profile in your collection it doesn't let you bring up that page on it. I have a couple of these too. As others stated, i put an English link for an movie produced in English and someone with a netherlands copy put a negative on it. Per the rules its a valid link, they just don't like it cause its not in their language. Thats most of them, one looks like its because someone else posted the same link after me in a version without %27 -Agrare |
